Anel Vênus

O anel Vênus surgiu do objetivo de fazer o metal assumir uma aparência maleável. Como em esculturas de mármore onde um material rígido e pesado passa a transmitir fluidez, suavidade e movimento.

Foi justamente essa ideia que inspirou a peça. Esculpido à mão, o anel funciona como um pequeno estudo de volume e percepção. Uma tentativa de capturar no metal o mesmo efeito impossível que torna certas construções tão hipnotizantes: a capacidade de transformar dureza em algo macio e fluído.

Para construir essa sensação o anel foi esculpido em baixo e alto-relevo simultâneos. As dobras e sulcos do pano criam sombra e profundidade e as partes convexas captam luz. Esse contraste produz a sensação de tensão, peso e caimento têxtil no metal.

The Venus ring emerged from the intention of making metal assume a more malleable appearance. Inspired by marble sculptures in which a rigid and heavy material begins to convey fluidity, softness and movement.

That idea became the starting point for the Venus ring. Hand sculpted, the piece functions as a small study of volume and perception. An attempt to capture in metal the same almost impossible effect that makes certain sculptures so hypnotic: the ability to transform hardness into something soft and fluid.

To create this sensation, the ring was sculpted using both high and low relief simultaneously. The folds and grooves of the drapery create shadow and depth, while the convex surfaces capture light. This contrast produces the sensation of tension, weight and textile-like draping in the metal.
